It was early November last year when I embarked on my journey to Lunamori. On a whim, I followed two adorable little guys—Timmy and Tommy—and together we arrived on an abandoned island. We were accompanied by our new friends, Billy and Tammy, as we made our way over to Resident Services and Tom Nook sold us the dream.
And declared me Resident Representative.
Responsibility like that usually flees from me (for good reason), and yet before long, I found myself decorating and terraforming our new home. We were quickly joined by the wonderful Able Sisters, Sable and Mabel, and the population exploded with Erik, Ellie, Puddles, Curlos, Eunice, Cyrano, Boomer, and Bianca all moving in to call Lunamori home.
No one may leave Lunamori unless we’ve become best friends and they’ve gifted me a precious photo of themselves.
It was a brisk May night that I sat reminiscing. A special brew with pigeon milk custom made by Brewster nestled in my hands as leaves danced around me—their final hurrah before autumns end.

As of today, I’ve already said goodbye to Tammy, Puddles, Bianca, Eunice, Cyrano, Curlos, Ellie, and—most heart-breaking of all—Erik, and at no point had I really chronicled their lives on Lunamori. It was a mistake I knew I needed to rectify, and although I couldn’t turn back the clock and bring them all back, I could learn from my grave error and begin taking note of the lives of those who graced Lunamori with their presence going forward.
It’s been a little over six months since I first moved to Lunamori, and I’ve had new neighbours move in to live with me. Boomer, and—most surprising of all—Billy, both still live there with me, but we’ve since been joined by Phil, Jacques (who moved over from my kidcore island Sprinkle), Biff (who also moved over from Sprinkle), Chelsea, Gayle, Olivia, Mott (who moved from Simslord’s island Acorn Isle), and Peggy (who moved from Kody’s island Orangehio).
I wanted to fire up the Lunamori printing press to begin sharing the lives of those on Lunamori with you all … but I realised there was no printing press. Well, this last week I’ve (obviously) rectified that!
The week that was
In case you missed it: it’s Wedding Season! If you haven’t already been talking to the birds to get you over to Harv’s Island, you should rectify that and give a helping hand to the gorgeous lovebirds, Reese and Cyrus, who are celebrating their relationship and need your help with decorating and photography!

Winter has arrived! Mabel and Sable have been working hard to curate new winter items for your warmth, comfort, and hopefully personal aesthetic. I know I’ve not been the only one who has been dropping in to update my wardrobe to help survive my first winter on Lunamori! Stay cosy, friends!

This last week saw Lunamori undergo some drastic scenic shifts as we moved from sunlit strolls while watching out for falling acorns and pine cones, to curling up by the bonfire to warm our aching bones and wondering just how long this bleak (but beautiful) cold snap would last. I suppose it makes sense for winter, but none of us knew what to expect from island life this time of year! I wonder how long we’ll have snow for?

Olivia has been our number one social butterfly this week! Mott suspected she’d been redecorating her house when he spotted her with paint on her fingers, and she had to take the time to patiently explain to him what a manicure was and how you can’t use nail polish to polish your pecs.

Olivia has also actively been encouraging Chelsea in her endeavour of creating foods inspired by doo-wop music! It’s been wonderful to see her being a cheerleader for my other friends living on Lunamori. Sometimes all any of us need is just one person who believes in us. With Olivia’s encouragement and support, it’ll be no time at all before everyone is exploring fun and creative new ideas!

I suspect our queen Olivia might have developed a little crush on our friend Phil though. I’m not quite sure he understood he was performing an ancient mating ritual here, but he certainly piqued Olivia’s interest. If that was deliberate, Phil? You sly fox, my friend. Congratulations. If not? … good luck to both of you!

Regrettably, my own interactions with Olivia have not been quite so favourable. Oops! Sorry girl, didn’t mean to push you! Fatal flaw in the design of my land bridge!

Recently, I decided it was time to redesign Lunamori and I wanted to finish before winter rolled in—it’s too cold for me to be digging around elevating earth or carving out waterways when the temperatures dip (go on, call me precious, it’s fine). Despairing the hard work it had taken to get Lunamori to 5 stars in the first place, I honestly assumed it would be a long time before it happened again. I rebuilt Lunamori three times before settling on the current island design, and entered Resident Services with immense trepidation.
Anticipating a 3 star rating, imagine my shock when Isabelle told me we were already back to a 5 star rating!

There are still so many DIYs missing from my collection (keep ’em coming, folks!) yet overwhelmingly I find I’m getting nothing more than repeats. Is anyone else finding this to be the case?
Thankfully this week Biff was kind enough to share his recipe for stacked bottle crates with me. Genuinely appreciated, Biff!

Speaking of DIYs, Celeste keeps holding out on me, so I’ve been making an effort still to hunt her down on other islands too in the hopes she’ll soon cave and give me the Nova Light DIY because how adorable would Lunamori look illuminated by stars like that? This week I was still unlucky, but grateful nonetheless that Simslord let me visit he and Celeste over on Acorn Isle—thanks Sims!

Despite our earlier frosty interactions, this week Olivia was generous enough to teach me one of the few remaining reactions I’ve yet to learn. I can’t help but feel that Phil really had an impact on this, so shoutout to Phil too. Thanks, mate! Appreciated!

The only reactions I’ve yet to collect are ones I need to unlock by remembering to join group stretches, celebrating Halloween, and by befriending a sisterly villager. Tammy mercifully gave me a few before leaving, but not all. I’m really hoping that soon Deirdre will move to Lunamori, but I won’t hold my breath too tightly.
Once Deirdre, Julian, and Ione find their way to Lunamori, they’re never allowed to leave (but also: why would they want to?).
Although she hasn’t moved here yet, it was a delight to see her visiting Lunamori this week!

Knowing now how essential it was that I begin documenting life here on Lunamori, whether it’s important news, or the latest tea, I had to set myself up with a writing press. So I did. If any of you have anything you’d like to contribute to Lunamori Times, you can find my open-air office across the bridge near the airport, right out front of Biff and Mott’s homes. Feel free to say hello and contribute!

Wisdom from Pascal
In this weeks Wisdom from Pascal, we endorse his reminder that studying astronomy and taking up space are two different things—but this doesn’t have to be restricted just to school! Here on Lunamori, we encourage you to both learn more about space, and take up space!
